New Home and New Work!

New home

I am so happy to announce that my work has found a new (very beautiful) home in Edinburgh’s recently opened shop and gallery space: Bard.

Owned by husbands Hugo Macdonald (design critic and curator) and James Stevens (architect), Bard is a celebration and exploration of craft and Scottishness. I’m truly honoured to be a part of it. There’s a lovely piece about it in the Financial Times, if you have time to sit down for a cuppa and a read.

Inside Bard you will find my very first hand-woven Sporrans, made in collaboration with Scottish heritage brand McRostie (founded in 1887) using the finest British bridle leather. These are vailable at Bard in limited numbers!

You will also find a second exciting addition to my collection!

New work

After much work and several prototypes, I am absolutely delighted to introduce my first foray into interior accessories. Poit, the Scottish Gaelic word for pot, is designed to celebrate every day moments.

Poit is a useful and beautiful (my favourite combination) vessel for loose items: be that pens or tools for your craft. I believe that craftsmanship can elevate our everyday experiences and as such Poit invites you to savour the smallest of tasks, because those are the moments that our lives are made up of.

Craft at its best asks us to stop and notice, to be present, and to find joy in the day to day. I hope this piece will do just that for you.

Le gaol/With love,
